Launched in 2006 as a multi-purpose music company, Laitdbac handled PR and booking for the likes of Blackalicious, Definitive Jux Records, Bigg Jus of Company Flow, Radioinactive, AWOL One, Josh Martinez, Joel Gion’s The Dilettantes, Scarub, Die Young & Deeskee, Boy In Static, 2Mex, M.Fusion to name a few.
In 2007, Laitdbac digitally re-released M.FUSION’s californian underground hip-hop masterpieces “Expo’70” and “LXXX” and put out “The Goth Kid”, a brand new EP featuring the vocal talents of legendary MC’s Radioinactive & Die Young of The Shape Shifters as well as a remix from French electronic wunderkind Debmaster.
Los Angeles-based Lexicon joined the roster in 2008 and released two acclaimed singles, the highly-anticipated full-length “Rapstars” and follow-up single “Calls EP” through Laitdbac Records.
In early 2011, Laitdbac inked a deal with France-based Anywave Records to release Johnny Boy’s “Modern Idol EP” digitally worldwide.
In september 2011 we welcomed noise rock duo from Beijing Alpine Decline in our roster. Laitdbac recently released Alpine Decline’s third album “消失/Disappearance” in Europe
Spring 2012: Laitdbac licensed the new album by indie hip-hop legend and former Company Flow member Bigg Jus, “Machines That Make Civilization Fun”, from MUSH Records.
We are also happy to collaborate again with Radioinactive and his new label Flying Carpet Studios, carrying PR, marketing and european label management for “The Akashic Record” due 4/30/2012.
